For six consecutive afternoons, Borja Jiménez will share the stage with prominent figures in bullfighting, a position he has earned after twice opening the Puerta Grande in Madrid, showing courage in every performance. The Sevillian matador will participate non-stop in bullfights from the 15th to the 20th of August in Almendralejo, Béziers, Guijuelo, Ciudad Real, Málaga, and Bilbao, on line-ups that rightfully reflect his efforts.
The first engagement is on the 15th of August in Almendralejo, where Borja Jiménez will debut as a matador in Extremadura. He will be joined by Manuel Jesús "El Cid," a seasoned Sevillian bullfighter, and the rejoneador Adrián Venegas, facing bulls from the Luis Albarrán herd.
The next stop will be on the 16th of August in Béziers, a highly significant French bullring. There, he will share the bill with two major figures in contemporary bullfighting, Alejandro Talavante and Daniel Luque, fighting bulls from the Santiago Domecq herd, with which Borja delivered a memorable performance last 31st May at the Feria de San Isidro, cutting a highly significant ear.
On the 17th of August, Borja will fight in Guijuelo, Salamanca, a bullring close to where he trains daily with his manager, Julián Guerra. In the province that has been his home for over two years, he will take on bulls from the Vellosino herd alongside Finito de Córdoba and Miguel Ángel Perera, celebrating the latter's twentieth anniversary as a matador.
The following day, Borja will again fight alongside Perera at the newly reopened Feria del Prado in Ciudad Real, after five years without bullfights. On this occasion, they will face bulls from Salvador Gavira García, with Daniel Luque also on the bill.
The final stretch begins on Monday the 19th in Málaga, a first-class bullring where Borja will debut alongside the young matadors David Galván and Ginés Marín, fighting bulls from the emblematic Lagunajanda herd. His journey will conclude on the 20th of August in Bilbao, at the Vista Alegre bullring, where he will once again face Daniel Luque, fighting a corrida from the Fuente Ymbro herd.
Six afternoons, six stories, each with its own narrative, and all alongside the greats of bullfighting.
